Launch of new e-safety event for parents and carers

We are pleased to announce the launch of this new 3 hour event which helps families understand how children are using the internet and what the risks are. The event looks at how children can be vulnerable online, including when they are using mobile phone apps and instant messaging, as well as looking at the risks created by Bluetooth technology and what parents post online.

The event looks as how easily those risks can be reduced, and gives some practical tips and guidance. We  also look at some resources available to help families learn more about this important issue, and how to start talking to children and young people about using the internet safely.

We are running several events in Barnsley over the coming months so contact us if you would like to know more, if you would like us to come and deliver this event somewhere else in the country or in another setting such as a school.

Here’s what some of our attendees thought yesterday:

“A very important topic (often understated/misunderstood) delivered with passion and brilliant knowledge”

“Absolutely brilliant- opened my eyes to the risks and dangers out there!”

“Really useful information, every parent should attend this”
