| Under a Freedom of Information request, the BBC has obtained figures indicating that at least 959 teachers and school staff have been accused of having a relationship with a pupil in the past 5 years. Charges were brought against teachers involved in at least 254 of these cases, but it is not clear how many of these led to a prosecution or conviction. |
